The revised All Facilities Letter (AFL 21-34.2) introduces two key changes compared to the original letter (AFL 21-34.1). Firstly, the deadline for healthcare personnel (HCP) to be up to date with vaccinations and receive boosters has been extended from February 1, 2022, to March 1, 2022. Secondly, the testing requirements have been updated, maintaining the twice-weekly COVID-19 testing for unvaccinated exempt HCP and booster-eligible HCP who have not yet received their booster in acute care or long-term care settings, and requiring at least weekly testing for such HCP in other healthcare settings.
