Clearpol's Opinion of this Guidance as of 01/06/2022
The Care Provider Management Bureau (CPMB) has a new regulatory requirement for specific individuals to maintain a valid mailing address and notify CDSS within 10 days of any change.
Effective 4/1/22, a new CCR Title 22 Article 6 Section 87355-87356 and new subsection (e)(1)-(e)(1)(A) and (m)-(o) with renumbering former section 87219 to 87355 Criminal Record Clearance. Now requires individuals who hold a criminal record clearance or exemption to maintain a current and valid mailing address with CDSS.
Providers and Licensees encouraged to ensure employees are aware of this new requirement.
Renumbering former 87219.1 to 87356, Criminal Record Exemption, attached.
Individuals may update their mailing address with CDSS in various ways, including: logging into their Guardian account; sending an email to Guardian@dss.ca.gov; calling the customer service line at 888-422-5669; sending a request to update by fax at (916) 754-4589; or mailing the address change information to: CPMB 744 P Street MS T9-15-62 Sacramento, CA 95814
