The California Department of Health has issued an All Facilities Letter (AFL) announcing program waiver eligibility for health facilities affected by the recent California wildfires. The waivers, approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), aim to expedite recovery efforts and ensure that hospitals and other specified health facilities remain open. Health facilities licensed under California Health and Safety Code sections 1200, 1206, and 1250 in Butte, Los Angeles, and Ventura counties can apply for program waivers of licensing requirements. These waivers will allow facilities to continue operating while ensuring patient health and safety. Requests for program waivers should be submitted on facility letterhead and must include relevant information such as facility name, license number, address, and contact details. Facilities must also submit a Program Flexibility form CDPH 5000. Report of Change fees for affected health facilities will be waived at this time, and approved waivers will be published on the CDPH website.
