We will also launch a PRO subscription starting March 1st to ensure the sustainability of Clearpol and to continuously improve the platform for all users. After March 1st, many existing, new, and future features will require a PRO subscription.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued an All Facilities Letter (AFL) to remind healthcare facilities that County Health Departments are required to inspect all health facility kitchens and issue food facility permits to long-term care facilities, hospitals, and adult day health care centers licensed by CDPH. The county inspections are a separate requirement under statute and include areas that are not surveyed by the Licensing and Certification Program (L&C). The County Health Department has the authority to inspect and will issue a permit for both the patient kitchen and the kitchen in the cafeteria. There has been no change in the responsibilities of either the county or state inspectors, and healthcare facilities are expected to accommodate the county and state inspections of all kitchen facilities in licensed health facilities. If healthcare facilities have any questions, they are advised to contact their local L&C district office.
