The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) has issued a new Provider Information Notice (PIN) to update the Temporary Manager (TM) list for Adult Residential Community Care Facilities and Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly. The PIN aims to announce that CDSS is seeking qualified TMs who may be available for future appointment opportunities. TMs are appointed by CDSS to continue the operations of licensed facilities to protect the health and safety of persons in care and minimize transfer trauma. Duties of TMs include acting as a substitute facility licensee or administrator, ensuring the orderly transfer of persons in care, and providing clinical support and guidance. Applicants must meet specific qualifications, such as being a current certified administrator or licensee and having the ability to maintain and supervise financial and other records. Interested parties must complete the Temporary Manager Candidate List Applicant Information form and submit it to CDSS. Past applicants must reapply as the previous TM candidate lists have expired.
