The California Department of Health has issued a new All Facilities Letter (AFL) informing general acute care hospitals (GACHs) of their ability to access the Salesforce platform for creating and coordinating resource requests with their Medical Health Operational Area Coordinator (MHOAC). Effective October 1, 2020, the platform aims to improve the tracking of medical and health resources and provide situational awareness for all partners and stakeholders. GACHs can directly enter resource requests into Salesforce after approval from their MHOAC program. GACHs in counties using the ReddiNet platform may still submit requests through it, with an API being developed to connect the two systems. GACHs are not required to use Salesforce and may continue using their current locally established processes. To access Salesforce, GACHs must request an account from their MHOAC program through the Salesforce Login portal and self-register.
