The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued an All Facilities Letter (AFL) requesting interest from qualified individuals to serve as temporary managers in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and nursing facilities (NFs). This is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has increased the need for temporary managers to remedy dangerous situations in these facilities. Candidates must have experience and education in overseeing corrections of deficiencies, have no history of misconduct, and have no financial ownership or family ties to the facility. They must also not have served as a staff member of the facility within the past two years and must be acceptable to the facility. Interested candidates should submit their resume and qualifications to LNCPolicy@cdph.ca.gov with "Temporary Manager" in the subject line.
