The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has issued an All Facilities Letter announcing a stakeholder meeting to discuss updates to general acute care hospital (GACH) infection control (IC) and physical plant regulations. The meeting took place on September 25, 2018, and aimed to gather comments and suggestions from healthcare facilities on the proposed updates. The CDPH encouraged representatives to review the "Questions for Stakeholder Meeting – GACH Infection Control and Physical Plant" document prior to the meeting. Limited seating was available, and participants were asked to reserve their seats by emailing CHCQRegulationsUnit@cdph.ca.gov. The CDPH also provided a WebEx/Conference Call option for those unable to attend in person. Updates and opportunities to comment can be found on the Regulation Stakeholder Meetings webpage. Any questions about the All Facilities Letter should be directed to CHCQRegulationsUnit@cdph.ca.gov.
