The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) has issued a Provider Information Notice (PIN) announcing statewide adult care facilities provider calls regarding COVID-19 on April 23, 2020. The calls aim to update licensees on the COVID-19 virus and will include speakers from the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services and Psynergy Programs. Topics discussed will include quarantine and isolation of adult clients/residents, assessing emotional health, activities and client/resident engagement, isolation protocol best practices, and self-support best practices. Adult care facility licensees are encouraged to participate in one of the two calls, which are limited to the first 4,000 participants. The CDSS urges facilities to monitor the CCLD homepage for updated information regarding COVID-19 and to contact their local Regional Office with any questions.
