The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) has issued a new Provider Information Notice (PIN) updating the Weekly Licensee Survey for adult and senior care facilities. The updated survey focuses on resident/client and staff COVID-19 testing to track and project pandemic data and protect individuals in care. Facilities must report their testing plans, surveillance testing, and testing of new or returning staff. The CDSS also requires facilities to notify their Regional Office about new COVID-19 positive cases among staff and residents and any urgent staffing or personal protective equipment needs. The survey will be sent via Everbridge every Monday morning, with responses due by 3:00 PM each Tuesday. Facilities may be contacted by their Regional Office for technical assistance or additional information based on their survey responses.
