The Texas Health and Human Services Commission has issued a provider letter (PL 2022-09) outlining the process for healthcare providers without a CLIA waiver to request COVID-19 testing supplies. The state is distributing a limited number of testing supplies through the Texas Prepare website to assisted living facilities, intermediate care facilities, home and community-based services providers, home and community support services agencies, and Texas Home Living program providers. To request free testing supplies, providers must complete the Attestation for Requesting Testing Supplies: For Providers Without a CLIA Waiver (Form 2199) and submit it to the HHSC Regional Director. Providers must have a current GenBody-100 COVID-19 Test Administrator Course certificate, ensure tests are administered by qualified individuals, follow reporting requirements, and report test results appropriately. To enroll in the course, providers must create an account on www.preparingtexas.org and enroll in the GenBody-100 COVID-19 Test Administrator Course.
